Vendor Development Manager - Supply Chain (6-8 yrs)
Role :
The Vendor Development Manager is responsible for developing and managing the company's vendor network. They are responsible for identifying and sourcing new vendors,and ensuring that vendors meet the company's quality and performance standards. They also work closely with other departments to ensure that the company's supply chain is efficient and effective. In addition, the Vendor Development Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This includes communicating regularly with vendors, resolving any issues that may arise, and providing feedback on vendor performance.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and source new vendors.
- Build and enhance business relations with vendors.
- Ensure that vendors meet the company's quality and performance standards.
- Work with other departments to ensure that the company's supply chain is efficient and effective.
- Monitor vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement vendor onboarding programs.
- Conduct vendor audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Production, Operations, business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes like Casting, Forging, Machining, Sheet Metal Fabrication, Plastic Injection moulding etc
- 6 to 8 years of experience in vendor management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in vendor relationship management.
