Test & Tools Chennai

Test & Tools is globally responsible for developing test equipment for Vestas manufacturing sites. We develop test equipment for all Vestas products. For example switchboards, converter systems, hydraulic systems, generators etc. We work closely together with our internal costumers and Vestas Technology R&D.

For the newly established sub unit to Test & Tools, located in Chennai, we seek a Manager.

You will be Leading a Team that would be responsible for developing test solutions and developing Test Software's used for Vestas products. The size of our projects vary from minor upgrades, and changes to functionality on our already established fleet of equipment, to large scale projects where we develop test equipment and software's for new products.

Responsibilities:

Managing the Test & Tools Team to be set up in Chennai.

- Ownership of Electrical system hardware design and Development of Test Software's used for Testing.

- Mentor and guide the Team on Technical Clarifications.

- Single Point of Contact to Stakeholders for all Clarifications regarding the Test & Tools Department in Chennai.

- Managing the Test & Tools Team to be set up in Chennai.

- Guide in Helping & Mentoring the Team.

- Help in Transitioning the Tasks and also ensure in Aligning the same at Chennai.

Qualifications:

We expect that you hold a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering(Full Time)

- You have 12-20 years documented experience in designing electrical equipment.

- You should have handled a team in previous assignments.

- You have knowledge to PLC programming

- You have documented experienced in designing electrical circuit diagrams and lay-out drawings - preferably in Caddy++

- You have knowledge to IEC and UL standards

- You are experienced in theoretical as well as hands on working with electrical systems

- Knowledge to hydraulic and mechanical systems will be an advantage.

- Experience with industrial communications protocols

- Experience with WPF, LINQ and SQL

- Experience with end-users

- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
