Vice President - Operations & Supply Chain Management - Food Manufacturing/Frozen (18-24 yrs)
Summarized Accountability:
Strategic planning and execution to enhance Productivity, Efficiency and Profitability,throughout the company's operations.
Reports To : Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer
Location Pune
Key Responsibilities :
India Steering Team Member :
- To head Pan India Operations, Supply Chain and Project Management functions.
- As a member of the India Steering Team, to contribute to the development and execution of Long-Range Planning (LRP), Annual Operating Planning Process (AOP).
- To implement strategies in alignment with Business priorities and provide a clear sense of direction and focus to the team below.
To Head Manufacturing Operations :
- To manage all the Manufacturing Plants - Set up strategic plan for Production & Maintenance. (Currently in Pune & HP) including third Party
- To Review and Set performance standards for all functions reporting.
- To effectively control / reduce COGS and introduce new cost-saving initiatives.
- To review and develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- To Develop systems to address Administrative issues or grievances, if any
- To Stay up to date with latest Production Management Best Practices and concepts.
To Head Supply Chain Function ( Stores / Warehouse (Dry & Cold) / Dispatch)
- To Strategically lead the sub functions of SCM - Warehouse (Dry & Cold), Logistics and Transportation services.
- To review and develop SOPs to liaison and negotiate with Suppliers,Manufacturers and Vendors.
- To develop and ensure proper execution of SOPs for keeping track of quality,quantity, stock levels / Inventory, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency in most optimum manner.
- To develop and improve on supplier's connect programs, Vendor Management & Negotiation.
- To develop and control processes for Warehouse (RM/PM and FG) to ensure optimum level of Inventory in day store, external stores and FG Warehouse.
- To develop and control all Inbound - Outbound logistics processes including transportation, material movement & control, and warehousing to ensure finished products are in the right place and at the right time.
Co-ordination with other functions :
- To Co-ordinate with R&D/Accounts for effective & efficient running of Operations;
- Partner with R&D, Marketing & Sales in developing, testing and launching New Products
- Co-ordinate with Sales to resolve customer complaints.
- Co-ordinate with WHQ and other Rich's plant for information/best-practice sharing;
- Maintain good relationship with government organizations; comply with local and International laws, regulations and Food Safety requirements (FSSAI) as applicable to the business.
New Business Development :
- Effectively Manage co-packers;
- Identify new Business Development Opportunities Lead Projects / Refurbishment
- Planning, monitoring and evaluating projects (Brownfield & Greenfield) as per company guidelines.
- Coordination with Indian and US partners for requirement of projects, timelines, budgets and planning.
Experience & Education :
- With a university degree in science/Food/Diary Technology/ Engineering
- Be familiar with food equipment
- Rich experience in Operation (Production, Supply Chain and Maintenance) management;
- Be familiar with modern management systems.
Functional Requirements :
- Be good at communication with different levels of people within organization;
- A good team player;
- Good knowledge of ISO22000 systems.
- Health in line with food plant requirement.
