Vice President/Senior Vice President - Procurement - Mfg/Auto (23-30 yrs)
Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)
Responsible for the Strategic planning, execution, and finalization of procurement strategies throughout the entire organization.
- This incumbent is responsible for acquiring the resources within budget and facilitating communication between the enterprise and its providers in order to deliver products and services according to plan.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating the data of all of the Company's requirements and is responsible for ensuring that related activities are performed efficiently, effectively and in accordance with established company policies
- Engage support and agreement for the strategy from key stakeholders so that implementation and compliance are optimal promote the effective management of suppliers to sustain value throughout the life of the contract
Critical Tasks
Purchase/Sourcing/ Procurement:
- Procurement of capital items; capital equipment's for ongoing project/ Plant
- Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
- Negotiate Long Term BOO/BOOT contract with vendors.
Vendor Development:
- Identifying and developing alternate vendor source for localization, achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials with reduction in delivery time and improve consistency in quality.
- Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterion's such as quality systems, rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery etc.
- Developing quality culture at vendor's end through auditing and guidance.
Cost Reduction/VA/VE:
- Involved in refining the ideas and making it happen
- Implementing strict measures in operating procedures to optimize resource/capacity utilization.
Quality Control/Assurance:
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards & quality system management and maintaining all related documents.
- Identifying areas of quality failures and taking steps to rectify the system wide preventive and corrective actions to avoid the re-occurrences.
- Practicing quality standards with key emphasis on improving quality and improvement opportunities.
Man Management:
- Leading/motivating teams ensuring their career development and positive contribution to the company.
- Imparting training to various personnel's, thereby ensuring optimum performance.
- Determining the manpower requirement in accordance with the manpower rationalization and production norms.
