Warehouse Manager (6-10 yrs)
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities Communications Conduct management and staff meetings to organize facility activities and assure continuous improvement. Effectively keep senior management and client representatives informed of critical issues that affect the operations and present progressive review on all expected deliverables.
- Operations Ensure the development of systems and procedures for regular operation and managing physical facilities, human resources, equipment, and products in a safe, prescribed and profitable manner. Plan, direct, and implement facility operations and administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service goals with nil pendency on daily basis. Operate in compliance with National, state, and local statutes. Comply with terms outlined in site's operating agreement with the client.
- Manpower Management Ensure to achieve highest level of productivity with skilled and efficient manpower in the warehouse. Proper productivity management and ensure availability of resources at all the time as per the business requirement.
- Management Information System Ensure the compliance with necessary information systems to meet company and client objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the facility. Ensure accurate and timely flow of information. Develop proficiency in client systems.
- Client Servicing: Assist in the establishment of client service standards for all functions and communicate these standards to all personnel. Assure that customer accounts receive the required level of operations and administrative support. Maintain appropriate contact with all functions and respond to requests when required.
- Financial controlling, reporting and Budgeting: Ensure to keep the operating cost within the budget and apply cost cutting measure without affecting the productivity and KPI's. Forecasting operational expenses and maintaining the P&L of the site as per the companies set guidelines and expectation.
- Equipment & Facilities: Develop suitable programs for maintaining company standards of sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, and safety of equipment and facilities. Keep informed of relevant new technology and make recommendations as applicable. Knowledge of operation of MHE needed.
- Safety & Quality:- Achieve company goals in terms of IFR and other metrics with the highest priority on SAFETY by establishing a proactive and participative safety culture within the operations and ensure the regular operation to be executed with all the safety measure in place.
- Training:- Ensure proper directives and training imparted in the facility team to achieve prescribed objectives. Provide direction and support to the Human Resources Manager. Assist the HR Manager in creating programs for hiring, training, and professional development.
Performance measurement:- Create performance evaluation measure for all team members Participate in performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases, and other HR activities.
Vendor Management:- Develop multiple vendor for all the business requirement who has good track record and can bring cost effective solutions.
Compliance:- Ensure all legal compliance is fulfilled and coordinated in advance
Required Qualifications Education -
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
- Candidate with exposure to Multi Client Operations will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in complex and or - big box- environment.
- Experience in warehousing, distribution and logistics management, (preference Automobile Industry)
- Working experience on WMS/SAP/BAAN/MAPICS or any equivalent software having the Inventory management/order processing.
- Stock maintenance and cycle counting in complex warehousing environment. Team management of data entry/floor supervisors/associate, security etc
SKILLS :
- Advanced knowledge of all MS office products: Project, Visio, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
- Superior leadership, planning and organising skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
