Job Description :

1) Ensure achievement of monthly billing plan

2) Ensure correct and timely preparation of welding documents like Weld Control Sheet (WCS), Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) etc.

3) Ensure usage of correct codes for the project as per client specification

4) Ensure correctness of drawing and coordinate for the same with Design and manufacturing

5) Ensure the requirement of new procedures as per specification and get trial done before qualification

6) Ensure correct implementation of welding processes and optimum utilization of welders on the shop

7) Ensure compliance to ASME Code requirements through stage-wise inspection in fabrication of assembly including NDE / NDT

8) Implement productive weld processes like tandem and strip cladding and improvement in procedure for welding nozzles and attachments through automatic processes like using FCAW for overlay welding processes

9) Monitor defect analysis and plan for repairs and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions on deviations / reworks/Non Conformances with focus on Zero delay

10) Monitor and generate the cases of deviation, analyze the same and suggest corrective actions

11) Ensure implementation of and compliance to Integrated Management Systems (IMS) at divisional level through internal and external audits, Non Conformance Report (NCR), rework tracking, Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) etc.

12) Ensure maintenance of documentation and manuals for ISO, EMS and ASME codes

13) Ensure continual improvement and pursuing newer certifications / standards as per organizational needs

14) Ensure effective execution of training for skilling & multi-skilling of workmen, training for government apprentices and for identified candidates under Co's employability scheme

Qualifications Required : Diploma\Degree in Engineering (Metallurgy/Mechanical/Production)

Special Skills Required :

1) Knowledge of sequence of Manufacturing processes

2) Knowledge of various fabrication codes like ASME, TEMA, DIN, IBR, EN etc.

3) Knowledge of welding processes like SAW, Tandem SAW, ESSC, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW and PAW

4) Knowledge of metallurgies including Titanium, Duplex, Super Duplex, Monel, Inconel, SS etc.

5) Knowledge of Heat Treatment methods

6) ASNT / ISNT / EN473 Level II / Level III in various NDE Methods like Radiography Testing, Ultrasonic testing, Dye Penetrate testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, ToFD, PAUT etc.

7) Knowledge of NDE for raw material, setups, welding, final inspection and final NDE documentation in Heat Exchangers, columns, reactors etc.

8) Knowledge of Quality certifications of ASME, IBR, CCOE, DIN, ADM etc.

9) Certification / Qualification as Lead Assessor in ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

Work Experience Required : Minimum 19 years of work experience in Welding function in Process Equipment industry in manufacturing of Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers and Reactors etc.
