Wheel Alignment Technician/Balancer - Vehicle Repair Service (5-10 yrs)
Job Title : Wheel Alignment Technician/Balancer
Purpose :
Wheel Alignment Technician and Balancer will play a critical role in maintaining and improving vehicle safety, handling, and tire performance. You will be responsible for inspecting, adjusting, and balancing vehicle wheels to ensure proper alignment and balance, ultimately enhancing the driving experience and extending the life of tires.
Responsibilities :
1. Wheel Alignment : Perform vehicle wheel alignments using computerized alignment equipment to adjust camber, caster, and toe angles as per manufacturer specifications.
2. Balancing : Balance vehicle wheels by mounting them on balancing machines and adding weights to correct imbalances, ensuring smooth and vibration-free driving.
3. Inspection : Inspect tires and wheels for signs of wear, damage, or irregularities. Identify and report tire and suspension-related issues to customers.
4. Tire Replacement : Remove and install tires when necessary, ensuring proper inflation and torque settings.
5. Alignment and Balancing Records : Maintain accurate records of alignment and balancing services performed,
including customer details, vehicle information, and service recommendations.
6. Customer Communication : Communicate alignment and balancing results to customers, providing explanations and recommendations for additional services when needed.
7. Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on alignment and balancing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
8. Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, including throper use of personal protective equipment and safe handling of equipment.
Over All & Relevance Experience :
- Proven experience as a Wheel Alignment Technician and Balancer, preferably in an automotive service or repair setting.
- Knowledge of wheel alignment and balancing equipment, tools, and procedures.
- Familiarity with tire brands, sizes, and specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using computerized alignment and balancing equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
