Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Wiring Harness Design Engineer with 2 to 8 years of experience in Creo and Creo Parametric to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in wiring harness design for automotive, aerospace, or industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wiring harnesses using Creo and Creo Parametric tools.
- Create detailed 3D models, harness routing, and 2D drawings for electrical harnesses, ensuring adherence to design standards.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of wiring harnesses in products.
- Perform design validations, tolerance analysis, and interference checks.
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for wiring harness designs.
- Assist in the selection of appropriate materials, connectors, and other components.
- Support the development of prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting of wiring harnesses.
- Participate in design reviews and provide design solutions to meet project goals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 8 years of experience in wiring harness design.
- Proficiency in Creo and Creo Parametric.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, connectors, wiring, and routing principles.
- Familiarity with GD&T, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
- Experience with cable assemblies, connector types, and wire selection.
- Experience in creating 3D harness routing and flattening of wiring harnesses.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
