Position Overview:

The Planning Manager will be responsible for driving operational efficiency by leading key aspects of demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in managing complex planning processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop accurate forecasts, ensure optimal inventory levels, and streamline supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts by analyzing historical data, market trends, and sales inputs.

- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to incorporate promotional activities and new product launches into the forecast.

- Monitor and adjust forecasts regularly to account for changes in demand patterns and external factors.

Supply Planning

- Create and manage supply plans to ensure timely product availability across all distribution centers.

- Work closely with procurement and vendor management teams to address supply constraints and improve supplier reliability.

- Ensure supply plans are aligned with business goals, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.

Inventory Planning

- Implement and monitor inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels.

- Track and manage key inventory metrics, such as turnover, fill rate, and aging inventory, to improve overall efficiency.

- Drive initiatives to reduce inventory holding costs while maintaining high service levels.

Process Improvement

- Identify areas for process improvement in demand, supply, and inventory planning, and implement best practices.

- Leverage advanced planning tools and techniques to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

- Support the deployment of new technologies and systems to improve planning capabilities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, sales, and finance, to ensure alignment in planning processes.

- Act as a key point of contact for resolving planning-related issues and ensuring smooth operations.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

- Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of planning activities.

- Prepare reports and dashboards to provide insights into planning performance and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.

- Advanced certifications in planning or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are a plus.

Experience:

- 5-7 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory management.

- Proven experience in managing complex planning processes in a high-growth environment.

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis and forecasting techniques.

- Proficiency in advanced planning tools and ERP systems.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
